Lead Guide

Carla Diaz has been the Lead Guide in the Chestnut Primary Community since 2023. With nine enriching years in the education sector, Carla Diaz brings a diverse teaching background to Oak Meadow Montessori School as the lead guide in the Chestnut Classroom. Her journey began as an ESL teacher, where she had the pleasure of teaching in diverse locales like South Korea, Shanghai, China, and Brooklyn, NY. Four years ago, she transitioned into the Montessori sphere, serving as an assistant teacher while undergoing the Montessori teacher education program to become a certified Early Childhood Guide. Recently relocated to Georgia, Carla and her husband relish exploring their new surroundings and enjoying quality time with family. Outside the classroom, she is passionate about running, cycling, and soaking up the sun at the beach. She is thrilled to be a part of this incredible team!

The school fosters a supportive parent community with seasonal get-togethers and monthly parent coffee talk meetings.
