Carla Diaz

Classroom Assistant

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Carla joined the Oak Meadow community in 2023. After serving as the lead guide in the Chestnut classroom, she took time away to welcome her daughter and has now returned to support students in the Lower Elementary Beech classroom.

Carla holds a BA in History, TEFL/TESOL and CELTA certifications, and an AMS Early Childhood (ages 3–6) credential. Her international teaching experience includes two years of English language instruction in South Korea and two years teaching at a bilingual boarding school in Shanghai, where she first discovered Montessori education.

After three years of teaching and training in Manhattan, Carla and her husband made Georgia their home. She is thrilled to be back in the classroom, working alongside Ms. Kelly to support and inspire young learners.
