Denise Harold is the Head of School at Oak Meadow Montessori School. She came to OMMS in 2019 as a Primary Lead Guide and accepted the Head of School role when the school founders retired in 2021. Denise has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management and a master’s degree in early childhood education with a concentration in Montessori. She also holds a Montessori Teaching Certification for ages 2.5 to 6 years old from the Pan American Montessori Society. Denise has worked as a Classroom Assistant, Lead Guide, School Director, and a parent coach before coming to OMMS.
Prior to beginning her career in Montessori, Denise worked for many years in the business world, working in Sales, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service Training, and Product Management and ran her own business as a dog trainer. She feels as though all her experiences in business, as a mother, and in dog training have come together to allow her to do the highly rewarding work of awakening children’s natural desire to learn by cultivating a nurturing, inclusive, and vibrant Montessori environment.
Denise lives in Johns Creek with her husband, Jeff. She has two grown daughters, Julia and Kristen, who continue to inspire her every day.
