Kelly O’Leary is the Lead Guide for our Beech community in Lower Elementary. Kelly’s journey at Oak Meadow began as a parent in 2022 and soon grew to include volunteering at school events and substitute teaching throughout the school. Inspired by the vibrant Montessori environment and collaborative community, she transitioned into a full-time role as a floating Classroom Assistant. It was during this time that she discovered how much she enjoyed working with elementary children, leading her to pursue a position as a Lower Elementary Assistant and begin her Montessori training. This year, Kelly is honored to step into her role as a Lead Guide. She is passionate about creating a joyful, creative learning environment where children can grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.
In addition to her Montessori training, Kelly holds a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology, a field focused on whole-person growth and development. Her experience in private practice counseling and higher education instruction have deepened her appreciation for meeting each child where they are and supporting their growth toward greater self-awareness and a love of learning.
At home, Kelly loves spending quality time with her husband and their two daughters, who also attend OMMS. An amateur birder, she can often be found relaxing in her backyard hammock, binoculars in hand.
