Lead Guide

Jessica Dupree is the Lead Guide in the Live Oak Primary Community and has been at OMMS since 2019. She started her teaching career as a student teacher in 2016. In 2018, Jessica received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and is completing her Montessori Teacher Certification for the primary level.

She and her husband, Tristan, have a 3-year-old son, Noah, who also attends OMMS. Her favorite thing to do outside of school is to explore the outdoors, and to discover new restaurants. In 2018, Tristan and Jessica walked part of the Appalachian Trail. During that hike, in a logbook at one of the campsites, someone had written, “Hike your own hike.” On the trail, it’s easy to compare yourself to other hikers, how fast they are hiking, what kind of gear they have, and how early they set out, but comparing yourself to others is not the goal; the goal is to enjoy the journey. Jessica often thinks of this quote in her everyday life, and tries to live as authentically as possible, not comparing her experiences to those around her, and enjoying her unique journey.
