Born in Rhode Island and raised in Puerto Rico and South Florida, Larissa brings a diverse background to her role as a Classroom Assistant. After a decade in New York working in the legal field, she made her way to Georgia, where she now supports the education of her three children, all of whom attend OMMS.
Larissa’s passion for conservation has greatly influenced her transition to the classroom. Dedicated to reducing waste, Larissa is an avid repairer of books and clothes. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of wildlife and gardening with the OMMS community, encouraging students to connect with nature.
Larissa spends her free time sewing and knitting, always learning new skills to improve her handwork. When she and her family have the opportunity, they love hiking the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina and soaking up the sun at Ft. De Soto State Park in Florida.
