Loryn Hickman

Classroom Assistant

Loryn Hickman is the Classroom Assistant for the Live Oak Primary Community and joined OMMS is 2023. She has a decade of experience working with children and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds and watching as children learn.

Her journey into education began through years of hands-on experience in childcare, including ten years of babysitting. During this time, she developed a profound understanding of child development, patience, and effective communication. Loryn’s most treasured experience includes raising her own child, where she dedicated three years as a stay-at-home mom, actively engaging in homeschooling.

This unique combination of personal and professional experience has equipped her with a deep appreciation for the Montessori philosophy, fostering independence and a love for learning in each child. Her commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment is unwavering.

As a Classroom Assistant at Oak Meadow Montessori School, Loryn is excited to continue her journey, enriching the lives of young learners, and ensuring they embark on a lifelong journey of curiosity, exploration, and growth.
