Saba Zaman

Lead Guide

Saba Zaman is the Lead Guide in the Sassafras Toddler Community. She began at OMMS in 2022 and is completing her Montessori Infant / Toddler Lead Guide Certification through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies. She is just a few credits shy of an undergraduate degree in Biology.

Before coming to OMMS, Saba had the opportunity to work as both a Classroom Assistant and Co-Guide at another Montessori school. She is the second oldest of 6 siblings and considers her big family to be such a gift; they inspire and fuel her. As someone who sort of collects hobbies, she particularly loves cooking, any outdoor activity, and plants. A quote that inspires her is, “How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.” ― George Washington Carver. It’s particularly relevant for the work that we do in the classroom!
